Sufism:

» Shrine of Hazrat Sabir Sarkar
» Sayings of The Holy Prophet (SAW)
» Tum Ek Gorakh Dhanda Ho - English Translation

21st September 2003, marks an important date in my life. That day, I was initiated in Chishti Sabri sufi order by Hazrat Shahzad Mohiuddin Sabri - a firm believer of sufi school of thought & who himself follows the order laid down by Hazrat Alauddin Ali Ahmed Sabir (R.A) of Kalyar a.k.a Sabir Piya or Sabir Sarkar. Hazrat Sabir Sarkar (R.A) was the great grandson of Ghous-e-Pak Hazrat Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jilani (R.A.), Khalifa-e-Azam of Hazrat Baba Farid (R.A) and is the founder of Chishti Sabri order.

It all started way back in Malaysia. August 2000 was when someone kind enough, made me realize that a parallel world exists which is very much invisible to most of us. Yet, decisions made in that world rule the physical environment we live in. To some extent, he was able to unearth the veiled spiritual forces in the way things were being manipulated in my life. This insight brought a new meaning to life and hence my search for the Spiritual path started.

I came back to Pakistan, visited many shrines. I traced my ancestral roots and it was a great delight to know how close my relationship is with Hazrat Baba Farid (R.A). From maternal side, I'm a descendant of Hazrat Khawaja Badruddin Inshaq (R.A), son-in-law of Hazrat Baba Farid (R.A). Back in 2002, I stayed in Pakpattan (where Hazrat Baba Farid's shrine is located) for a few days and met Sufi preachers of his order. I was introduced to the philosophy of Wahdat-al-Wajood and found it more convincing than anything else I had ever come to know.

But, the thirst for spiritual knowledge had not quenched yet. In search for someone who could guide me in the path of Sufism, for the rest of my life, I was brought to the doors of Hazrat Shahzad Mohiuddin Sabri with reference of a great Sunway friend Mr. Aamir Mateen. This search took never-ending three years to conclude and yet, this was just the beginning.

Hazrat Shahzad Sabri is a disciple and first caliph of Hazrat Haji Mohammad Yousuf Sabri. This continuous chain of Spiritual Pirs goes all the way back to the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa (S.A.W.). A few important names that come in between are Hazrat Alauddin Ali Ahmed Sabir Sarkar (R.A.), Hazrat Baba Farid (R.A.), Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti (R.A.), Hazrat Abu Ishaq Shami (R.A.), Hazrat Fuzail Bin Ayaz (R.A), Hazrat Khawaja Hassan Basri (R.A..) and Shahenshah-e-Wilayat Hazrat Ali Karamallah-u-Wajhu (R.Z.).

One can never pay back what he owes to his Spiritual father. Same is my case with Hazrat Shahzad Mohiuddin Sabri. Each day passed with him has brought more meaning to my life, more sense of the Zaat and Sifat of the Almighty Allah and most importantly more fire of love for the Holy Prophet Hazrat Mohammad Mustafa (S.A.W.).

If you are living somewhere in Pakistan, and would like to discuss Sufism, Tasawwuf or spirituality in general, it would be my pleasure to meet you. Please feel free to send me an email at kamran@alwaiz-arts.com
